Alex brings 30 years of project management experience across contracting, consultancy and client-side advisory roles in the United Kingdom and Italy. Before founding Crovetti Associates in 2011, he was a Director with a contractor and held senior roles with Turner & Townsend and Arcadis in Edinburgh. This combination gives clients the benefit of delivery experience, commercial acumen and independent strategic advice.
He is experienced in taking projects from early appraisal through funding, planning, procurement, construction and handover. His portfolio spans museums, visitor attractions and historic buildings; masterplans, mixed-use developments and residential schemes; hotels and restaurants; offices, student accommodation and healthcare; supermarkets, shopping centres and high-street retail; warehousing and industrial facilities.
Alex is often engaged where clear leadership and experienced judgement are required. He focuses on project set-up, delivery strategy, programme control, stakeholder management, team performance and troubleshooting. Clients value his calm and direct approach.
He has been a speaker at the Association for Project Management's Annual Debate and guest lecturer at the University of Bologna. Alex was also the founder and editor of the review VIRTUS: Contemporary Issues in the Built Environment. Outside work, he enjoys golf, reading on quantum physics and consciousness, and cooking for friends and family.

Ian spent over 20 years with Radisson Hotel Group where he was Senior Vice President of Technical Services, responsible for all technical and operational engineering functions across the entire group and, as part of the Business Leadership team, for setting its strategic direction.
He was responsible for overall control and delivery of all major CapEx investments for +350 hotels, pipeline delivery of new hotels/conversions and delivering in excess of 3500 keys per annum, together with providing key input into the development of new hotel brands, serviced apartments, rooms, restaurant, bar and leisure concepts.
Ian brings key expertise covering all aspects of hospitality projects, widening our integrated project services offering to include: hotel consultancy; expert strategic advice on all aspects related to acquisitions and delivery of new hotels; re-branding; ongoing operation of hotel properties including CapEx investments; FFE/OSE procurement; asset management negotiations; lease and management agreements; development of brand concepts.

Marco is a hospitality leader, executive coach, and organisational consultant with extensive international experience in luxury hospitality and tourism. He previously served as Managing Director, General Manager, and senior executive within leading global organisations including Rocco Forte Hotels, Borgo Egnazia, Trust House Forte, and as CEO of VisitScotland.com.
He is the co-owner and Managing Director of Rufflets Hotel in St Andrews, co-founder of RESILIRĒ-Psychological Growth, and Managing Director of PRAKTIK Management Consulting. Marco’s expertise spans luxury hotel and resort leadership, asset and capital investment management, brand repositioning and revenue transformation, organisational culture and change, and leadership development.
Alongside his executive work, Marco is a doctoral researcher in Coaching & Mentoring (Organisational Coaching) at Oxford Brookes University. His research integrates psychology, neuroscience, and coaching practice to develop evidence-based approaches to executive development and leadership performance in hospitality organisations.

Andrew has over 25 years experience of Visitor attraction and Heritage projects. He was pivotal in the start-up and development of four national visitor attractions: Granada Studios Tour in Manchester, Our Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh, the award winning Dalkeith Country Park and new attraction developments for the National Trust for Scotland at Newhailes House and Gardens and Culross Palace.
His experience spans a range of sectors, including: visitor attractions, events, education, retail, hospitality, facilities management, fundraising, conservation and heritage projects. Andrew has lectured at both Napier and Queen Margaret Universities on strategies to improve Visitor attraction Management and Operation.
He brings valuable skills and expertise supporting organisations planning to create and operate visitor centres and visitor attractions.

John trained as a Civil Engineer and delivered a broad range of engineering and business improvement projects in a 22 year career. He lectured and researched into the management of projects at Leeds Beckett University, and chaired the Association for Project Management’s Value Management Group since 2015.
John has worked for the Estates department and other capital projects for large organisations and SMEs, in the area of project efficacy, project review, strategic analysis and project delivery. A Prince 2 Practitioner, he is a trained negotiator and value workshop facilitator, very skilled at maximising project efficiencies and uncovering hidden value.

Andrew has over 10 years experience as an Architectural Designer and Project Manager working in the construction industry throughout the UK and abroad. After working in one of Scotland’s leading architectural practices, Andrew set up his own practice establishing an extensive and diverse client base formed by long lasting relationships. He joined Crovetti Associates in 2018 as an Associate.
His experience in the construction industry includes projects across all the sector, such as master-planning, mixed-use developments, residential, student accommodation, retail, leisure, food and drink, industrial, agriculture, hotels and listed buildings. Each project is approached by Andrew with a clear understanding of the client’s requirements whilst being equally mindful of the commercial constraints and opportunities which shape any project. He is skilled at helping clients identify the optimal use for a site in the early phase of a project, thanks to his architectural knowledge.

Cristian has over 20 years experience in the construction industry, having started his career with a mechanical and electrical contractor before setting up his own contracting company in Verona, to deliver projects across the residential, hospitality, health and retail sectors in Italy and Europe.
His expertise focuses on project feasibility, project team co-ordination, cost management and proactive problem solving. Benefitting from his vast technical knowledge and hands on approach, he is skilled at leading project teams as well as managing the programme, risks and costs of a project.
An excellent communicator with extensive contractual knowledge, Cristian can be very helpful when managing and negotiating with contractors.
He joined Crovetti Associates in 2018 to assist with the delivery of projects in Italy following the opening of the company’s office in Verona.
